Acknowledgement of country
We respectfully acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation, the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we gather today. We recognize that this land has always been, and always will be, Aboriginal land. For thousands of years, the Wurundjeri people have nurtured and cared for this land, passing on their knowledge, stories, and traditions from generation to generation.
We honour their deep connection to the land, waters, and sky, and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging, who continue to guide and inspire their communities. Their resilience and strength remain a foundation of the cultural heritage that enriches the wider Australian community today.
We also extend our respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, acknowledging their unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, as well as their invaluable contributions to Australia’s shared future.
